self assessment
On Essay number 3 I had to rewrite it over again. I didn’t understand the concept of what I was writing about. I think I have done a better job at this essay then the last. I learned how to get the audience attention with an attention getter. I also learned hoe to research evidence to back up my topic.

Abortions occur in the world almost everyday. Children are having children and that’s not what our young children need. They need to be focused on school and their future ahead of them. Not having children. My arguments are abortions are not for children to have children. You should only have an abortion if you know you can’t take care of the child. If that’s the case then give the baby up for adoption.

I am arguing against abortions. Some people are for abortions and many others are against it. I am against it in a way and then I’m for it. Their are certain things that I believe when a minor is putting their education in danger then they should have an abortion. I believe young girls shouldn’t even have sexual inter-courses with anyone. The parents have to take care of their child’s baby. It’s not fair on the parents behave because their child chose the wrong routine.

The strengths of dating outside your race, you get a better understanding of the way your spouse lives. It’s interesting to learn about different types of lifestyles. You have some people who will truely behind you through your marriage. People who accept interracial dating. Then you have those who don’t accept interracial dating because their just afraid of what others might saw. But you should’t care what others have to say. Because if you love that person then it shouldn’t matter what other think of you.

I chose interracial dating. The author is Annie-Marie O’Conner. The article basically talks about how this guy named Steve wanted to marry a African American woman named ruth. His whole family and friends were against him and he felt that they should of supported him. But no one was on his side. He felt like he found the woman of his dreams. But no one accepted that. This article appeared on hotbot.com. The audience is towards anyone wjo is against interracial dating or anyone who is for interracial dating. Still till this day many people still can’t accept the fact that it’s ok to date outside of your race. But our society is so twisted we can make a big deal out of everything.

If i had more time to write my essay I probably would spend more time proof reading my essay and see what changes can be made. I need to learn how to start my essay off with an attention getter. Focus on the main points and give more examples. I usually get lazy and then i start to just write anything that comes to mind. I have a hard time writing essay, paragraphs, short essays etc. But I know that I can do them .

I have chosen the article from the death of the students. I believe that many students take school for granted. Some students don’t realize how much school is important in their life. That education is the key to success. The author of this article should of gotten the point of views of the students at the school and compared them to the teachers. You can’t just go off the teachers point of views.

In my first essay, I really didn’t get a chance to get it done. I was not doing my job. So I can say that hopefully for the next essay I will take more time into getting it done. So I will work a little harder.

Ethos, Pathos,and logos are three common points, meaning ethos means something that is appealing to you. Pathos meaning something that you believe strong about. Logos is a reason and you have evidence to prove it. We use pathos, logos, and ethos, in our everyday lifestyles. We can be persuading someone at work to open an checking account or to buy a car.
